Using chalks

Here are a couple of card examples where I have stamped on dark coloured card and then used chalk to colour the image. In both cases I used a silver brilliance ink pad for stamping as this gave the image a good contrast. I also sprayed the images with a sealant after chalking to maintain the intensity of colour. The background for the fish card was created using alcohol inks.

Cute Easter Box

Micro beads demo

By using clear micro beads and Kwik Clear double sided adhesive, Denise showed us how to make this wonderful effect. You can use stickers, cut out pictures or stamped images (as I have done here) to create the image underneath. It is important to put a strong backing card on your image before you apply the beads as Kwik Clear is super sticky and has a tendancy to bend your image as you peal off the adhesive. Try not to put your fingers on the sticky image as the beads wont stick in this area. Also remember to use a tray for micro beads or they will roll everywhere.

Pam rang a great demonstration on stitched cards and lots of people had a go. Here is an example done by Cathryn. It is had to believe that she had not tried this technique before she went to the demonstration.

June demo - Quilling

These are the cards you can make at the June demonstration. Kits, which are available for purchase, will include all the materials you need except for glue. I do not have written instructions at this stage for doing this 'off sight', as that would add cost and lots more of my time. I will see how demand goes for that one first.

May demonstration - patchwork on card

The photo does not do justice to the results. The cards made from this technique were really eye catching. The master stroke being you use small scraps of paper to create this look. Many cards were finished off with peel craft boarder.

IRIS FOLDING
